While actual genuine rebuild "parts" may not be supported as such you won't be in the position of being forced into upgrading any time soon. There is also plenty of aftermarket cores that can be used after double checking the build and balance on them when they arrive from overseas. The reason you should upgrade is because repairing/rebuilding a stock turbo already cost around half the price of a new upgrade. 2 minutes ago, FiftyOne said: Billet GTX2 is my only option? My arm! stop twisting it! Why not go all out and swap the manifold etc and get a proper turbo?!

And I thought Gtw was more track focused mid range where as gtx was lower spool for the street? Can someone correct me here? Also, for that price, plus the oil drain kit, plus fitment kit, plus plus plus, the price of their gtx2 replacement is pretty comparable (as that is either included or not required) Edited 11/05/17 12:40 PM by FiftyOne

Depending on having really high power you dont really need a fancy turbo.

I'd still think even with the $170 oil drain kit to suit the GTW from GCG, plus gaskets, studs and nuts, the whole package would come in under or right on the price of the GTX2 kit, which is $3600. Application though, well that's not my forte...
