What is the stock turbo in on the BFs? I've read so many different model numbers and just want a straight answer. 2. I hear a metal clunking noise after letting the clutch pedal out what could that be? It happens as you let off the pedal and start moving forward or backward. 3. There is a squeak coming from the engine bay when it is cold outside, basically like a belt squeak but the belt seems to be fine.. goes away when warmer any ideas? 4. I need my diff bushes replaced which I am getting done soon but if down the road I need to replace my toe blade bushes too can that be done diy without a hoist by replacing the whole arm as a set? 5. When changing gear I get the usual clunk from the diff due to the diff bushes but when it is not there (usually when I am softer with clutch engagement) it feels like the gears are rattling in the gearbox (stupid way of thinking about it I know). Is this just the box taking the force of the busted diff bushes instead of the thunk of the diff? If I change the bushes should this go away or could it be something screwed in the box? 6. I think my HIM module may be stuffed but when changing the direction of the airflow eg to the window demister it does not change but instead stays on face and same goes for putting it on face and it does face and feet. I disconnected the battery overnight and it fixed the issue but not too long after it came back. Any way to solve this? I can hear the motors moving so I believe they are working but unless I disconnect the battery it doesnt change properly. Thanks for reading my stupid questions let alone attempting to answer them but all info is much appreciated Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/93153-information-on-bf-xr6t-and-servicing/ Share on other sites

Expand All BF turbo's have the same factory turbo. It's a GT3582R, approximately... With an oil lubricated and cooled, water cooled, roller ball bearing CHRA. With a 61mm inducer (compressor turbine) wheel (6+6 bladed cast GT-series-style wheel) With a 68mm exducer (exhaust turbine) wheel (10 bladed cast) With a 0.5 A/R compressor-housing (3inch inlet, 2inch outlet) and a 1.06 A/R 5-bolt internally gated exhaust housing. Quote I hear a metal clunking noise after letting the clutch pedal out Expand Could be a bunch of things... where does it sound like the sound is coming from? inside the cabin or from the engine bay? or underneath the car? Quote squeak coming from the engine bay when it is cold outside Expand Probably a loose tensioner or a slipping pulley which causes the belt to skip a bit and it'll squeal as it re-seats. If the belt is OK and the pulleys are OK, just put some silicone lube on the belt. On 27/04/2017 at 6:21 AM, joshua1396 said: can that be done diy Expand Yes, it can be done DIY. While the rear end is apart to do the main diff bush, it's best to do the other bushes as it's so cheap to install them at that stage in comparison. Quote feels like the gears are rattling in the gearbox Expand too vague of a description to diagnose... Quote when changing the direction of the airflow eg to the window demister it does not change but instead stays on face and same goes for putting it on face and it does face and feet Expand copy the the instructions in this post to troubleshoot it Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/93153-information-on-bf-xr6t-and-servicing/#findComment-1637554 Share on other sites
