My mate made 430rwkw on E85 on the exact same turbo as me. Made 450 before they detuned it down to 430. Highflow 61mm wheel. Getting my car tuned later this week so keen to see what I make on 98.

I made 479 on the factory turbo E85.  Not sure where the limit is   Maybe just over 500???

you just have to have a tuner that knows what they are doing

Exactly. That's how we get bullsh*t numbers from dynos all the time.

You blokes must be sharing the same crack pipe if you believe you're getting 500rwkw from a stock turbo or even one with a modded turbine setup.

Moi?

Edit

Wasn't saying 500 is/isn't possible, just that his 479rwkw figure has a bit of fine print in it. ie, non stock motor, hub dyno

@arronm am I correct? not knocking it at all, it's a good figure.

Oui.

Read arrons post a few replies up. He has been banging on about his magic turbo for a while now.

Pretty much what I was eluding to. Dyno numbers can be fudged and frequently are to make blokes feel warm and tingly in the ballsack.

So we're sort of saying the same thing, except you're saying fudging, I'm saying other factors.

Another one being that it's a manual...so what's that, about a 15rwkw difference at that power level

Manual

Non stock motor

Hub dyno

Add them up and I don't think 479 is far off. But what do I know?
