A little pool of oil there is totally normal.

You'll get plenty of smoke if you have a seal issue.

Looks reasonable to me. Just push it backwards/forwards/sideways a bit and if it moves too much, it's no good.

gotta justify it somehow, turbos completely and utterly stuffed mate dont even bother getting it refurbished.

 

I would immediately remove the turbo from the vehicle and replace with something like this
