Hey guys, appoligies in advance if a similar previous thread already exists if so please redirect me.

Im in the process of up grading my turbo set up on my fg, previous setup was a gtx4088 on a high mount 6boost manifold and clearence was pretty tight as you can see in the photos. Now I'm gonna to upgrade to a gtx47 and was wondering if anyone has put a turbo similar in size with roughly the same setup and if you had any clearence issues with the head or bonnet or strut tower.

Any my info or photos would be mint.

thanks in advance

you can make anything fit, if you're willing to try (and have enough money) :spoton: people have put bigger turbo's underneath stock and xr8 bonnets.

Heat is your main concern, with a bigger high-mount turbo, though.

Yeah the exhaust manifold, dump and rear housing is all gonna be ceramic coated which should hopefully knock abit of heat off and I'm gonna look into getting some of that heat guard for under the bonnet.

ive seen a few setups of big turbos and it looks like there running very low on room ey ?

yep, all of those big setups are always pretty close to the strut tower, the head and the bonnet. A bit of stuffing around to get the manifold/dump/intake positioning just right :spoton:

sick car, by the way! needs a build thread in the relevant power section :icon_ford::Welcome2FordXR6t:
