I really had my heart set on the efr but am not sure it'll make the kind of power I want on the boost levels I'm thinking ( less than 25 psi) on pump 98. I want to try and hold the engine together without having to build one just yet.Judging by the comp maps, the efr needs a pressure ratio of around 4 to make around 800 engine hp. The 4202 on the other hand makes it right in the middle of the central efficiency island, right at around my target boost pressure (2.9 pressure ratio). I'm just worried that the 4202 on a manual with stock engine would be an absolute pig on the street. I don't want a powerband like a light switch for 2k rpm.Can anyone with experience with these comment? With only a street tune.... Dyno still to come... You'll be running 28 psi on the gtx42r and 44 psi on the bw based off the comp maps and your desired pressure ratios and power requirements. I'm sure you already did the math though. Neither is good for a stock motor but you can keep it turned down until it's built. On paper the bw looks like a much better street turbo. One way to look at it is that you'll be frying your tyres on the street with either turbo so maybe the smaller one is better? I suppose it's not insurmountable. Lol would it make you feel better if I said the absolute air pressure at my house is 14.65psi @HI PSI Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/92972-general-turbo-chat/page/3/#findComment-1637007 Share on other sites
