Gday guys, after selling my bf about 4 years ago ive been outta the game for a while... but just picked up an fg for a good price, so it has a few things already done to it....

Crow valve Springs

Exhaust

Turbosmart actuator

Process west cooler

265LHR pump

55lb injectors

Zf tune

Xcal 3

Was tuned by previous owner at dynomotive, at 295rwkw at 17psi

So whats next ? I know the turbo cant push too much more but whats its limit should I get a re tune

injectors are a little on the small side, but will comfortably max out the stock turbocharger on an FG XR6T. 17psi is a lot of boost for less than 300rwkw, though. Next is push boost in harder earlier, or upgrade the turbo and injectors.

that's pretty much it in terms of mods to get more power.

I just fitted new sway bar links and mount bushes, King springs and KYB shocks to both ends of my BA. I'm really happy with how it drives and that's only entry level upgrades of course (I have a steep driveway and lots of speed bumps in my work car park!)

Suspension upgrades are something you can easily enjoy every day.

With the work and mods done I think 295 is on the low side mate.

If not already done, upgrade the ZF transmission oil cooler.

A retune?

Have you got an aftermarket cold air intake?

If not then the tuner may get a little more legroom for a stable, consistent tune.

320ish rwkw on 98 or approx 350ish rwkw on E85 on stock turbo is about the max for the little turbo. 23 in the mid FTW! :spamlaser:

if you push over 300 on that turbo depending who tunes it and how aggressive you go it wont last too long. keep that in mind.
