This thread is humungus and so asking the learned tyre folk of this forum who have contributed to this thread for some info.

I'd like to buy some replacement 19" dark argents but seen that there are 36.5p and 28.5p offsets ones on eBay.  I'm after 2 of them so wondering what's best to buy - looking for genuine FPV 19" dark agents.

Can anyone tell me what is the stock offset that comes on the stock wheels for FG F6 19" dark argents for front and back?  I may take some of the tyres off on the weekend to have a look at the metal stamps on the inside (unless they can somehow been seen whilst the wheels are still in place - can they be seen whilst the wheels are in place?).

Also - hearing that there are different offsets for front and rear now makes me concerned about rotating wheels (normally rotate my fronts to my back and fit new rubber to fronts) and what about the spare 19" dark argent in my boot (can it be used on both front and rear)?

Thanks :beerchug:

genuine question.....why the fark do people keep saying REAR USE ONLY rims (I.e. the +28 offset) cannot be used in the front????

its only going to poke 8mm more, and that's nothing...

if you hit a bump while turning... tyre could touch the edge of the guard.

Stop themselves from being sued it it does happen - no matter how unlikely

What if you have the hands of a Man not a 3yr old girl?

Then you're not lazy and will use those sausage fingers to take off the wheel and look :P

But its impossible to touch the guard? its fkn 8mm lol if you can squeeze 10" fronts with low offset, then NFI how 8" rim could rub? Even if it was dumped on its hole...

But then again I'm not a business, I just wasn't sure if there was some miraculous reason behind not using FPV rear offset rims all round.

What most people don't know is that b-series argents are different in colour to the FG argents.
Ones lighter than the other. I think FG is darker. But it's been years since I've had a set of each side by side

my 20s are +35. I have 10mm spacers on the back

ars apart from looks good?  Does it really affect performance (like the eBay seller is saying) or are there brake clearance reasons?

no all you are doing is moving the track out which actually helps with stability. From what you posted I think he is saying that clearance would be a problem between the wheel and the guard at that offset. It wont be (depending on tyre size you run) but your pretty safe
