See how the negative offset has more brake room than the positive. So generally an offset closer or below 0 has more brake room. This can vary with spoke design and how the rim manufacturer alters offset.

Most rims have a large solid hub area from the factory and are machined/drilled to suit the required size. You see this on a few wheel sites were that say custom offsets between say +10 to +40. The offset you pick determines how much they mill off.

Hope this makes sense. I'm even confusing myself haha

Thanks bamk2

Not sure if I want a huge gap 4wd style haha!

I'm happy though if everything clears all the steering/suspension and doesn't foul on the guards.

Also allows me scope to go lower a bit later on.

Cheers!

After having a lowered Typhoon, I'm enjoying not having to take a huge amount of care parking up to kerbs going over speed jumps etc so I'm not in a rush to go lower on the ute.

Eliminating a bit of the wheel arch gap can only help with the looks of the car.

On a ba/bf that wouldn't fit the front. It would foul on the suspension. One of the other fellas might know if it will fit. If your after the flush stanced look go a +15ish on the front with a little tyre stretch

It will be pretty close (depends on profile/stretch on the tyres too). This is FG with 18x9.5+20 (so youll have like 7mm space before it hits)... has no tyre on first pic but 2nd has 265/35/18....but I think 245/35/19 will be close. Cant guarantee it wont rub....but should be ok on FG (I read somehow others have fit 18x9.5 +35 and they said no rubbing apparently? Even though that would leave 2mm space from hitting arm). The SSSL part might be bad, cause think tyre tucks more when lowered (my pics are at standard height).

18x9.5 +27 245/45 tyres on a FG ute. I know the rears will fit heaps of room but wondering if anyone has some pics so I can get an idea of how the front will sit/look Online offset calculator puts the outer edge 27mm further out and the inside edge 11mm further in.

cheers Mike
