Lots of good info thanks guys.

Yeah bellato I'm def more concerned with handling and performance than looks, don't want it looking like a turd though but yeah.

18 x 8.5 + 30 and 18 x 9.5 +35 (or less? how much less) prob sounds the way to go... might have to see what tirerack would cost or see if those ebay shops can get them in since they have bit much of a skyline focus...

spot on bellato, that's why I was recommending the 9.5s as well. its a gamble going too wide with 18s for rear unless you can test fit the rim you're planning on buying

bullet, 18x 9.5 + 30 are the magic numbers for rear. it will be dead flush with the rear guard and plenty of inner clearance

front offset I'd go 8.5 +20 if possible (or close to it). they''ll poke the same as mine which is 9 +26 (with -1deg camber)

mummba, how much camber are you running up front? does it rub on the inner guard on full lock?

sweet thanks 18 x 9.5 +30 on the rear is what I'll aim for and I'll see how I go with 8.5 +20-26 fronts. Prob a little way away getting them but I'm really liking these which should clear brembos too http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/WheelCloseUpServlet?target=wheelCloseUp&wheelMake=Enkei+Racing&wheelModel=PF01&wheelFinish=Bright+Silver+Paint&tab=wheels

the enkeis are nice but sizing is very limited

have you considered work kiwamis? (new cr kai) they do 18x9.5 +30 deep concave face and I think they clear brembos

I know scatterbrain runs 18x9.5 +30 all round and it clears on his BF. check this post:

would be worth asking scatterbrain and nelsonian if he got around to fitting them on the fronts

if the fronts fit, you could run the same size tyre all round and rotate your tyres which is another bonus

Ok guys, I just got myself a new FG mkII XR6T sedan. I have started reading this thread but 2000 posts takes a while.

I am probably looking at a 19x8.5 and 19x10 combination running 245/35/19 and 285/30/19. What offset range should I be looking at to sit close to the guards but not foul on them and without rolling? I'm not interested in doing work to the guards or running spacers etc. Is it possible to get a 10" rim with a 285 on the rear of an FG sedan without guard rolling or suspension clearance issues?

Also why does everyone seem to run 275 on the rear when 285/30/19 are a better match to 245/35/19?

No worries bullet. You might wanna try jdmconcept he does specials from time to time on nissansilvia.com

.Naddis you're after 8.5 +20 & 10 +36 or +38

Dunno why ppl run 275 either, maybe the brand of tyre they want doesn't come in 285.

I have 10s on mine with +33 on 285s but my tyres have wide sidewalls so they stick out even with nearly -2deg camber.
