Okay tossing up new wheels. Looking at 19's with 245/40 and 275/35

2 options:

19x8.5 +20-+25

19x9.5 +35

OR

19x9.5 +25-+30

19x10.5 +35

I realise they're 2 very different looks and I never use to like stretch but seen a couple like Henz's bro's car and I think it can be done with enough low (which I have)

What do you guys reckon?

Don't you have d1r drag rims or didn't happen freaky?

nah that didnt happen, a little shattered. looked for ages.

got something else now. so pretty happy.

will look into a full set of light weight rims for future when I get more cash.

Bellato I reckon go the 8.5 +20 and 9.5 +35

Running stretched tyres kinda defeats the purpose of downsizing to 19s. Its a harsher ride and puts more stress on the rim

flush offsets and fat tyres ftw

Yea You got a point! That's part of the reason I have no grip now, stretched tyres just eliminates the role side wall plays!

Would love to have some pretty aggressive wheels but I think I need to start being a bit more practical (Fark 21 yo and starting to be mature already lol)

lol first post "Thanks much. So dope" pretty funny. I'm guessing there's plenty of poke there then. See what you mean now though, im guessing boys in blue prob don't like too much too agressive though, and how much does it affect handling, negatively or positively?

Haha nah poke is a massive no for the cops

As for handling, most of those cars would be probably worse due to crazy tyre stretch, but those with a little stretch would probably handle better. Not too much side wall for roll, -3 deg camber for good turn in and a really low centre of gravity again adds to cornering

bullet, people run wider wheels to increase grip by increasing the track of their wheels. combined with the right tyre size / rubber this will also add to more grip

going too wide and stretching tyres affects grip negatively as it can make the tyre contact patch narrower. also because there is no sidewall to soften the impact on potholes/bumps, the wheel acts like a shock absorber as the force transfers to the wheel first before the shock which can buckle the wheel
