Hi all, apologies if this question has been addressed before, I have had a good trawl through the forum and have not seen a definitive answer on this so thought I would post it here.

Can someone please confirm an offset for the fronts of an FG which will be safe from rubbing on the inner suspension uprights if running a 20 x 8.5 with a 245/35/20 tyre?

I am having issues on my car with the fronts rubbing on the suspension uprights at the moment. The rims are Lenso's and are 20 x 8.5 with +40 offset. The rubbing only occurs when turning whilst going over kerbs and small bumps in the road, eg out of driveways / low speed corners etc. I have read that perhaps the +40 offset on the fronts with the 35 profile on a 20" rim brings it too close to the upright.

Just wanting to know an offset for the fronts which will solve this rubbing problem as it is bloody frustrating!

The car is a 2010 FG G6E Turbo and aside from the rims the only other mod it has is lovells sport low springs all round.

Cheers

40 offset is wrong, tyre shop should not have fitted them a low 30 offset is much better even better still is a high 20 offset on the front

2 pics same wheels different offset and it not lowered more in some of the pics that's the difference between the 245/30 and 245/35 20 tyre and the extra 10mm poke filling out much better

1st pic

20x8.5 ET25 245/35/20

2nd pic Fail offset, hard to see but trust me in real life its heaps fail, ohh the horror LOL I flipped the pic so it was a similar angle to the above

20x8.5 ET35 245/30/20

and another for the hell of it, in real life they looked like they sat in much further than the pics show
