So the 30 profile on a 245 isn't the same as a 30 on a 285, the 30 on the 285 is bigger, thus if you still want some ride comfort then maybe use a rolling diameter to give you an idea.I don't know how accurate this is but rolling diameter = ((tyre width x profile(%) + (rim size x 25.4)So say a 245/35r20(245x.35) + (20 x 25.4) = 593.75mm rolling diameterSo a 275/35r20(275x.35) + (20x25.4) = 604.25A 285/30r20(285x30) + (20 x 25.4) = 593.5Like I said I don't know how accurate this is but something to consider in that a 25/30 profile might actually have (depending on the tyre brand cause we all know how different they are) more side wall than you think Edited 06/09/12 01:36 AM by Bellato

The invo is a much better tyre. 595evo is still good tyre though.Oh Bellato, I run staggered size profile tyres. Almost 5% diameter difference with no problems.245/35r19 vs 285/35r19.

Went purchase the EVO's today only to be told they don't do the 285/30/20 and would have to go 275/30/20...Money to burn and I can't find what I want!!! LolJust want to put the bloody new wheels on! I was just using the calculations to demonstrate to XYZ that a 25 or 30 profile isn't always that small of a side wall because it is a percentage of the width, so a 285/30 for example has more sidewall than some think

The calculation is actuallyRolling diameter = [((tyre width x profile(%) x 2) + (rim size x 25.4)]Forgot the times 2. So it changes things the numbers a little but still shows my point Edited 06/09/12 12:36 PM by Bellato

WTF are they smoking?Ozzy tyres are a joke! Went with my mrs to get rims for her cruze and just walked out after fighting with the guy! First started by him saying 19's are too expensive, better off with 20's blah blah blah! She was looking at vertini fairlady's and the guys like yea I got one set left I'll do for $2k with tyres so I asked what tyres and he goes Lexani 225/30r20 and I was like nah I don't want her driving around on sh*t tyres and he tried to tell me that they're great tyres and after I repeatedly told him they're not he kept saying otherwise! Then I said I want 245/30 maybe even 35 cause I don't want her to have stretch on the tyre and then he started going on that a 225 won't have any stretch on a 8.5 wide rim! Anyway he refused to listen to any common sense so I just left!Sorry about the rant - probably should have put this in the pi$$ing me off thread lol
