With a 285 on a 10.5" rear you would want to keep the offset at 35 or higher I would think! Even at +35 you would have 32mm less inner clearance and the rim would protrude from the guard very slightly.

With an offset higher than 35 the problem is the inner rim doesn't clear on 18's. Fine for 19s and 20s though.

My front and rear guards are rolled. 3.5 neg camber front and 2 neg rear.

My track rims are already 18 X 9.5 +22 front and rear. 275 35 18" tyres.

Front offset would be around +22 with the 10.5" rims too.

Fronts have heaps of clearance with the camber. With 0.5 deg neg camber they did scrape on the inner guards though.

With 3.5 neg on the front as I have on my track set up, 285 30 18 all round should work on 10.5" 18" rims. Touching the brake ducting is always a problem on my car and lock to lock steering is no longer possible, so compromises have to be made for performance.

I then have access to some A050's, or do the State Time Attack round in Clubsprint class with some 285/30 18 RS3's or similar.

Power steering system is stressed with the extra width too but I just change the synthetic power steering fluid more often.

But you are right, front does have some poke!

Stupid/basic question, should 19x8.5 +28 fronts and 19x9.5 +30 rears on 245/35R19s and 275/35R19s be fine on stock suspension/when it eventually gets dropped a little?

Cheers guys

rears may be a little aggressive for lowered springs. roll and slightly pump the guards for some flush goodness.

Hi just bought a fg mk2 xr6t and need help with offset choice for rpf1's.

Have the option of 19x9.5 +22 or 19x10 +22 or 19x10 +25 for rears

Preferably no guard rolling, also best option for fronts?post-78329-0-42161100-1405849551_thumb.j

I reckon your guards would be munching your tyres with the 19x10 +22 or 19x10 +25, based on the current research I've been doing...unless it's a ute...in which case, I have no idea...

all depends on what tyre size you will be running and where you want the wheel to sit in relation to the guard.. all though's wheel specs will fit depending on tyre, though 19 x10 +25 with a 255 tyre front and rear fits no guard work and lowered...sedan
