Looking at 19's with 245/40 and 275/352 options:19x8.5 +20-+2519x9.5 +35OR19x9.5 +25-+3019x10.5 +35I realise they're 2 very different looks and I never use to like stretch but seen a couple like Henz's bro's car and I think it can be done with enough low (which I have)What do you guys reckon? Its a harsher ride and puts more stress on the rim flush offsets and fat tyres ftw Sent from my GT-I9300 using Motorculture mobile app

That's part of the reason I have no grip now, stretched tyres just eliminates the role side wall plays!Would love to have some pretty aggressive wheels but I think I need to start being a bit more practical (Fark 21 yo and starting to be mature already lol)

Some of these cars look incrediblehttp://www.gencoupe.com/wheels-tires-brakes-2008-2012/53689-official-agressive-fitment-thread-post-your-pics-23.html

I'm guessing there's plenty of poke there then. See what you mean now though, im guessing boys in blue prob don't like too much too agressive though, and how much does it affect handling, negatively or positively? Bellato Donating Members 2,713 Member For: 14y 25d Posted 21/05/13 12:14 PM Share Posted 21/05/13 12:14 PM Haha nah poke is a massive no for the cops As for handling, most of those cars would be probably worse due to crazy tyre stretch, but those with a little stretch would probably handle better. Not too much side wall for roll, -3 deg camber for good turn in and a really low centre of gravity again adds to cornering
vxr50t Member 134 Member For: 11y 7m 2d Posted 21/05/13 12:48 PM Share Posted 21/05/13 12:48 PM bullet, people run wider wheels to increase grip by increasing the track of their wheels. combined with the right tyre size / rubber this will also add to more griphttp://www.amgaustralia.com/technical/wheels/wheel-offest-pcdgoing too wide and stretching tyres affects grip negatively as it can make the tyre contact patch narrower. also because there is no sidewall to soften the impact on potholes/bumps, the wheel acts like a shock absorber as the force transfers to the wheel first before the shock which can buckle the wheel
