Looking to buy a BF mk2 XR6 but I'm unsure on what to do, should I buy a non Turbo? Then save and turbo it? Or just buy an XR6 Turbo? What's the differences? And can you get the same power figures out of a N/A, then Turbo'd as the turbo car?

I'm dyslexic and cannot turn off simple functions in tapatalk

It's not a good idea to try to turbo an N/A car in the first place.

It's an even worse idea to specifically buy an N/A car with plans to turbocharge it.

Just buy a turbo car to start with :spoton:

^what this guy said

In the mean time, buy some other car that'll hold its value reasonably well, stay out of trouble with the cops and get yourself a poster or something of a mint looking XR6T as motivation

Fark how old do I sound

Where I honestly think that having a powerful car from the get-go would entail a higher percentage chance to get into an accident, it also teaches you a certain level of respect for your car, the road conditions and other drivers that a piece of crap car doesn't do as effectively as a powerful car might...

The laws themselves must exist for a reason, but I'm not 100% sure they're based on real-world data that specifically shows that powerful vehicles are detrimental.

In hindsight of my younger more reckless self, I'd prefer a car with powerful brakes and stability control, no mater the actual power level, as it's how you recover from a dangerous situation that makes you a better driver, rather than how you got into it in the first place, imho.
