Turn the car off and on and the speedo works again. Also just replaced alternator started happening around the same time. any ideas?? Abs sensors? Bad battery? Mechanic run a scan on the car but he couldnt pin point the problem... really annoying issue cant drive it hard at all without this happening any ideas much appreciated. I didn't charge my new odyssey battery when I got it a few weeks ago and although it started the car, when I gave it some stick the speedo went to zero but the car drove normally. I pulled over, restarted it and haven't had a problem since. Edited 01/02/17 06:02 AM by Puffwagon a word

Make sure you sit it back where it should be and see how you go.

Try turning the key back a bit

So last week a stupidly washed the motor and it went haywire every 50m the speedo would stop and the engine coughing and missing, figured I had got water on the coil packs. May as well put new plugs in if I am going to dry them, was going to go full on and change the speed sensor on the gearbox as well, as that seemed to be causing the speedo issue. Ford were out of stock so I went to a local auto trans shop to get one got talking with him about it he asked if the ute had been idling rough which it had for a while he then said to change the coil packs to fix the problem ? I did and now have no issues with the ute at all runs perfect and no more speedo dramas. May not work for everyone but did for me. I had the same 3 lights flash ABS Handbrake and Traction control Edited 11/02/17 04:16 AM by Les M

Good result for you, most definitely. Yours was clearly that way because you washed the motor without protecting the electrical parts first
