Get a Lonely Planet guide to USA or California, they are worth their weight in gold. If you can in LA/SF, park the car somewhere outside of the city and use public transport to get around, its pretty decent in SF, LA is ok. Check out Yosemite if you can. Awesome NP. Also Death Valley NP is really cool too. Camp in National Parks. The Americans know how to organise camping at those places. Its usually $15-25/night and you can BBQ all of your meals if you are that way inclined. Some NPs also have restaurants and stuff too. Its a really good way to see the NPs. April is outside of summer holidays too, so hopefully plenty of stuff that isn't crowded. Good luck!

I work with a good bloke who done it only three years ago and first hand experience says the Grand Canyon via chopper is worth every cent ( aprox $150 US PP ) Super car Driving days in Las Vegas at the speedway park is a must do and realistic at $395 PP for a full day and a multitude of cars to drive including meals yellowstone park is a must do ( apparently ) tips are, as always cash is king and a haggle works very well, Guided tours are worth the money and not typical boring BS LA is expensive for no apparent reason but just is SF's GGB is not to be missed and don't even think of walking anywhere around there as it's stupid steep but I think most of us know that Have Fun buddy
ML24 Member 33 Member For: 8y 3m 23d Posted 22/01/17 10:09 AM Share Posted 22/01/17 10:09 AM Grand Canyon from Vegas is my pick. We (myself and fiance) did the chopper flight out of Boulder airport and it was pretty pricey, but totally worth it. I think it was around US$800-1000 (for two people) for front of the chopper seats. We had a flight to the canyon, lunch in the canyon as well as flying back to Boulder airport. Totally worth it. If you don't need lunch and just want the scenic flight I think it's still worth it and really good. Yellowstone is up north in Wyoming, easily over a days drive from anywhere you are going. Definitely worth checking out too (also been there). Jet might be referring to Yosemite? Like I said, that is really awesome too. In SF, jump on one of the tour buses that rolls around town in a circle all day. It will also cross the bridge and you see all the cool stuff. Its a must do, but might be a bit cold if its still Spring time.

My partners friends went last year and are going back again this year. Love my motocross and NBA. I had looked at timing a holiday to coincide with the AMA motocross season. Drool drool drool panda. You'll have a blast going by the stories that I heard about the states...
