Cro,

Try those cheap($5- $20) plastic ultrasonic things in your lower intake, We did after a lot of close calls on our last trip inland to Rockhampton and (touch wood) we havn't seen one since, Even the Cockatoos etc seem to get of the road earlier.

I can get you some at the right price if you are interested.

Cheers, Bazza.

At 110 you have done extremely well or it was mini me equivallent roo. I am guessing there is some metal damage behind the bumper, radiator mounts busted light mounts etc????? All very much cosmetic luckily.

I smacked one once in a work car near Bowen. They fixed it but didnt pick up that the bearing case on the power steer pump was cracked. The pulley spooled off the shaft, dropped the belt and cooked the engine, went into limp home mode thought so damage was minimal. It did it at 5,400 revs to so the belt was wrapped around everything.

Cro> Did the roo have an ear tag? Can you contact the owner and claim on his insurance? I hit a sheep with the RS2000 and the farmer's insurance company paid 'cos the sheep shouldn't have been out on the highway. Maybe you could sue National Parks and Wildlife for not keeping their stock properly enclosed??? Or didn't I see some time back that the indiginous tribes were claiming ownership of the kangaroo and asking for it to be removed from our national coat of arms? Along with the emu as well. So maybe you can sue ATSIC ?

Sorry to hear and see your roo encounter. Oh well, Gadan will be as good as new in no time I'm sure.

Hmmm, "Shu Roo" looks like a good investment indeed.

Dont bother with a shuroo - the best place to get a bullbar/nudge bar for the BA falcon is www.ecb.com.au

They have a decent range that look pretty attractive.

Be careful with your decision, try and stay away from low cut bars that are low, otherwise if you ever hit another one you might find him up on the bonnet rolling towards you.

If your really going to be doing some hard core night driving I would get a full bullbar - yeh they look ugly but you can always take them off.

I've had a good look at the East Coast Bullbars range alongside TJM and Bocar.

My opinion is Bocar are the best made followed closely by TJM. ECB are a distant third with some poor welding. ECB and TJM are line ball on price and Bocar a little more expensive.

Unless ECB have lifted their game in the last few months I wouldn't choose one of their bars.
