Hi guys,

I have a bf f6 manual and had the same issue with the engine oil cooler letting go.

had the cooler replaced with another genuine one and it lasted not even 4 months before another one failed.

has anyone else had this problem?

tia :)

what was the failure point on each of the coolers that failed? if it was rust/corrosion, then you probably have an earthing issue or a moisture-in-the-wrong-place issue.

I spose oil can be conductive so if there is an earth problem it could be carrying the electricity. what keith says above is something id look for!. makes sense unless maybe someones overtightened something? not sure how they work.

Just got the word this morning Allianz are paying for complete new motor and cooling system :yahoo: except they want to flush out heater core but it's full of oil too. It's $900 to replace with a new one cause all the dash has to be removed so I said yeah I'll pay that. Wana keep this car forever. The bill to Allianz is $9,500  Man I am so relieved. It's be over 9 weeks
