So I turned it off, grabbed a rag and carefully started reremoving the cap and pffffffft I checked the dip stick and there's no oil so I'm guessing head gasket Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/92825-my-f6-sht-itself/ Share on other sites

If it's the same colour, then you've milkshaked the auto. Otherwise, you're right, it's head gasket. That combined with no engine oil kinda gives it away to being a head gasket rather than a trans cooler failure. 1 Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/92825-my-f6-sht-itself/#findComment-1627804 Share on other sites

After a while it's probably just worth replacing the trans cooler anyway given their propensity for failure and the fact that they are only a couple of hundred bucks to buy. 1 Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/92825-my-f6-sht-itself/#findComment-1627807 Share on other sites
