Hello all,

I've just purchased a 2013 XR6T FG MKII which is stock. This has been asked before I know, but that information is aging now and times change.

It's my daily so I want reliability and don't want it to be too crazy. I figure 300rwkw should be fine for this.

I just want to know whether the following will be OK to achieve this and if anyone has any other suggestions too.

57lb bosch injectors

venom hi flow cat

upgraded IC piping

dyno tune

Is there anything else I should consider or do in the process? Thanks

Adding a fuel pump on top of that list will get you comfortably into the 300rwkw range on an FG XR6T. If you have not bought the injectors yet, make sure the injectors you purchase are something that your chosen tuner is comfortable with.

As it's a mkII, you might need to de-bung the exhaust, if it has one of the restrictive ones for the euro4 emissions requirements.

Can debung instead of hi-flow cat?

Grab an earles turbo oil filter?

Anywhere from 280-300+ with injectors, tune, pump, exhaust flow (will depend on the car)?

The MKII's have a more free-flowing cat than the originals, with a ring/washer/bung spot welded across the pipe to get it to match the old one.

Few hits to get rid of the bung gets rid of a lot of the restriction. The cat will still be a limiting factor in the exhaust, but no where as much as it was.

To do 300 on a FG turbo these are the basics required

injectors

intercooler kit

fuel pump

hi flow cat section or Mk2 de ring

intake ( modified factory air box minimum )

full custom tune

300 can be done on a stock intercooler but it just doesn't meet the "reliability" noted in opening post

the factory pipe kit has to go and an aftermarket pipe kit IF you did run the small cooler

injectors are best done correctly ( ID1000's )

the Mk2 (2010) de ring cat is good for ~330rwkw
