You could try and log the timing. Best bet would be to get who tuned it to run it up on the dyno and check the fueling and timing.

Try what Ralph said first cause it's easier.

Then go from there.

The thermo is kicking in just fine and keeps the car at 90 degrees but after half an hour it just can't keep up, and being originally a non turbo it only has the single thermo fan but its the 16 inch 2200cfm davies craig one.

It sounds like you just gave us the answer to your problem.

So I need the twin thermos?

Whats the best way to bleed the system? I've tried letting it idle with the hose to the overflow at the thermostat off to bleed the air out then let it get up to running temp but then it just starts blowing coolant out the overflow lol

Could do?

If the entire face of the radiator was fully shrouded like an r33 gtst shroud then probably not. You can have all the fans in the world but without a functional shroud you're screwed.

I just top mine up to the very top when started from cold and as soon as the level begins to rise I do the cap up. I then take it to operating temp and drive around the block, making sure to pull a skid or 2.

The next day when it is stone cold I just check the level and top up if necessary.

Fortunately the xr6 cooling setup is no vl commy setup and pretty much bleeds itself.

Hey, your fans are pulling air through toward the engine and not pushing away right?

Yeah the single fan is pulling air through the radiator and it has the shroud around it.

Might have to play around with it again tomorrow.

Merry Christmas everyone :)

So seems like its fixed. Put a new radiator  (again) twin ba bf thermo fans and put a proflow expansion tank on and took it for a drive, didn't even think of over heating ?

Thanks everyone for the help and comments :)
