Sits just over a 1/4 for half an hour driving then starts to get hot. Now it's got a new thermostat, water pump, bf xr8 32mm radiator and davies craig thermo on set at 92 degress and nothing seems to help. Any ideas? How you carry out the checks, interpret the results and how they correlate with each other is what you pay a mechanic for (or search the crap out of forums for days) if you can't sort it yourself. Check that the system is pressurising and holding pressure. Check that the radiator fins aren't bent and are unobstructed from debris. Check that the coolant is serviceable; ie new and not full of rust from the block. Check that the thermostat is actually opening at its rated temp. Check that the radiator cap is functional. Check that the radiator or any pipe work isn't blocked internally. Check that the water pump is doing it's job. "New motor"? Is that new secondhand that has grown rusty from sitting in someone's back yard. Newly rebuilt/reconditioned? Has it got the correct oil and been changed as per "new" engine requirements? You'll need a datalog or an accurate temp gauge to see how hot it is actually getting. Possibly look at changing your thermofan settings in the tune. Obviously from your sig and running boost on an na motor it has a custom tune. Is it set up properly to run in summer? There could be more to check but this will give you a start. There is only so much one can help over the internet. If all else fails drive it into the river, that should cool it off

Radiator is 6 months old, engine is 8.4:1 compression and running rich with 80lb injectors. The system holds pressure with a radiator pressure tester but only tried it for half an hour. This is the second thermostat ive tried with the same problem, car is fine for half an hour then starts heading for the 3/4 mark. The cooling pipes to the turbo make gurgling noises when the cars turned off. Had the head checked and its not leaking. Got me stuffed lol

The gurgling noises would be boiling coolant/water. My car warms up to operating temp in about 5 to 10 minutes and sits on about a third on the gauge. It never goes over half when idling with the ac on in the heat. It does seem odd that your car runs fine for half an hour then suddenly gets hot. At this stage I'm thinking that the fans are not kicking in. Do they come one when you turn on the ac?

The thermo is kicking in just fine and keeps the car at 90 degrees but after half an hour it just can't keep up, and being originally a non turbo it only has the single thermo fan but its the 16 inch 2200cfm davies craig one. I've tried bleeding the air out but maybe I'm not doing it right? And no I'm not doing stand stills haha Its very frustrating lol How could I check if it's the timing or fuel? I've got the dashcommand app with the obd2 plug is there anything I can do to check?
