Hmm damn
Seems like it's so hard to get good honest work done in this industry, it's constant problem after problem...
I only went with race equipped because they were the only ones with a housing ready to send, and it still took 5 weeks to get it :/

They told me they port using a mill, but this looks more like a hand job with a dremel?

The tool is only as good as the operator, they could use "super sonic lazer cutters with NOS" and if they are half cut on Jack Daniels it wont mean sh*t hahah

I always reccomend the tuner gets the port and flapper done for the customer as theres so many variables that it's going to cost the customer twice if it's not sufficient for what the tuner wants

when I do my customers port and flappers they are not all the same they vary to suit what I want it to do ! That being said I find the Genuine Garrett rear housings with the port and flapper already made into the casting is very good and almost dummy proof IF you have to do it yourself

There needs to be a flat spot at the back of the seat so the flapper doesn't bind up. It won't appear round, because of this.

It looks like the back of the port is still high and the front (closer to the flapper arm) is still lower.

Check the seat for grinding damage and check with a torch that it seals. Hold the bastard shut hard when checking. Realistically a slight scratch here and there makes no difference.

It doesn't look that bad, it just looks rushed. It will probably work fine.

Whack it on and see.

This is the result of someone who takes pride in their work and wants 100% completion/satisfaction. You usually only get this if you do it yourself.

Please explain your method/handiwork in detail, not for me but to "make Australia great again"! (And for everyone else reading this thread lol).

P.s It looks like that housing smoked like a bitch when it got installed.

That is disgraceful. What does it look like inside the housing?

Agreed. When a company supplies a product that, while may work as intended, clearly lack pride in presenting their work or providing (the last 5%) maximum performance.

Box / bog stock T comes up with the goods again

He he. I aim to please.

Box stock is what we used to call our motocross bikes if they were straight out of the crate. No port jobs or power mods. I.e. straight out of the box.

Bog stock / box stock each lame man to there own.... Bahahahaha.
