Both times the car was out of gear (I have a manual) and coming to a stop. The temp at the time would have been well into the 30's, if not higher. It never happened before and hasn't happened since, so I'm not too worried. The only other times my car has ever stalled have been my fault (eg. having brain fade and thinking I'm in an auto!). It was 41 degrees here today and ours didn't stall. Hasn't once. One of the days I was talking about was the day it was 44° here in Adelaide. I didn't mention the exact temperature because I highly doubt that when my car stalled was the same moment that the max temp was reached!
