Victorians used to be called Mexicans (south of the border) - not sure if it's still a thing.

When we were in the sh*t financially (late 80's) there were heaps of Vics headed to QLD and NSW - they (jokingly) called us Mexicans and wanted to close the border.

The "MEXICAN INVASION" is a two pronged approach - the Vics (Mexicans) are coming over and I want to eat at my favorite Mexican restaurant.

If you want more to Trump the story - the Murray (border of NSW, Vic, SA) was seen as the Rio Grande (Border of Mexico/USA)

Am totally going to be wearing a sombrero the whole trip

So I've been looking at the google maps for ideas and was just wondering where a starting/meeting point would be?

I guess that will depend somewhat on where people are staying?

I was thinking it might be a good idea to actually drive some of the roads beforehand to make sure that they're open and also check they're not in use by a cycling event or the like.

It's probably worth a mention that e85 availability is non existent in the hills.

I'm not sure how accurate this is but I bought some from Pooraka about 3 years ago.

Yep.

Leave Melbourne

Arrive Adelaide (or thereabouts)

Drive the Hills and different locales

Leave Adelaide

Drive the Coasts

Arrive Melbourne.

There maybe some details to be added later.

:P

I'd like to drive the Nulla once - but I know it can be boring.  I've driven from Perth to Esperance for work once and farrk me you have some straight as straight roads in WA :drivingalong:

But it was a good experience none the less.

Also did that bit between Jurian Bay and Geraldton once - farrk your beaches are glorious
