The dedicated ecolpi gas motors were very high comp over 10:1 with similar power to the turbo. Not too sure on the taxi gas motors that run the mixer ring setup. The point Dan was making about the supercharged xr6 was that he hit the wall on gas so went e85 and has gone crazy now. @Rab runs dual fuel. Check out his build. He makes over 300rwkw on gas injection.

Copy that I don't need to go that far and he makes a valid point about engines that close to the edge. I would be more than happy with 300kw at the flywheel. Just reading through @Rab thread now. Also looking at the eco lpi specs. Saw the TR6060 today and I am chasing info from Mal Wood. Edited 22/11/16 12:58 PM by Oracle1

You'll make that with a free flowing intake and retune. Ecolpi gets me excited. They make bullsh*t power. Rumour has it they were de-tuned because they made more than the fg turbos and were breaking components in testing. Oracle1 New Member 19 Member For: 8y 9d Posted 22/11/16 02:12 PM Author Share Posted 22/11/16 02:12 PM look at the specs for the torque on the gas motors https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Barra_engine the gas motors are only making slightly under the petrol torque figure with less horsepower of course. This is why I am interested in LPG turbo, not for hp but for torque. Notice the increases for the eco lpi motor. The car I am looking at has an old fashioned taxi mixer style setup which I am assuming is the first gen. If this is the case then it is dead set easy to put a big mixer on and run the metering on positive pressure with fan.

Crude but easier. You would probably want 2 converters with line mods to the tank etc to supply the amount of gas you'll need.

The others basically only let you "mimic" the factory tune to run it on gas, which doesn't leave any room for meaningful mods. I could be wrong or things could have changed since I went the gas route.

I like the way it goes it has some grunt. Overall its nice car I am impressed with the design, tragic Ford stoppen manufacturing. 12mnths rego $7500 Edited 23/11/16 11:41 AM by Oracle1
