Me, I intend to do two lots of major mods, followed by the reliability mods.

hahaha! more like you intend to get maximum value from the parts that will subsequently break or wear out from a big power increase heheheheheh

I have a fg auto and I think around 480 -500kw with the right sized turbo is good for the street .
 I'm running a precision 6235 , 23 psi on e85 .
Nice mid range and top end .
Traction is mainly an issue from a standing start or when the tyres and road are cold.
Most of my driving is in 70 -110kmh zones  so when I stand on it I'm usually in 3rd or 4th gear .

It's only when I shift to 4th gear I wish I had 600kw

So you only need 600rwkw on the street when you are at 180 to 200 kph.

Fair enough. Our needs change depending on where we live.

I live in the country and although it would be fun to pull a skid up to 200kph the practical part of me says just pull a skid to 150. Clearly that's not a stock turbo but whatever.

In the suburbs it's gtx 3576 all day amiright @Ralph Wiggum ?

If you lived in the suburbs you probably wouldnt need anymore than 350kw . My car ran 11.2 with 340kw .

But it all depends on the person. The acceleration in third when I had 340kw would put me to sleep now.

Yeah I expect mid to high 300's would do most people.

I just want to try get best bang for buck & not waste money always upgrading certain parts.

I'm looking forward to Racewars in March. I expect quite a few nicely nodded Falcons to attend & it will be good learning from other owners whether I'm on the right track for my upgrade paths

Yeah I guess it's all relative.

200rwkw feels fast to most peeps.

Lol if third feels like first then I'm happy.

I think best bang for buck on the fg is 4inch dump and cat, intercooler , injectors , fuel pump , tuned on e85. Enough power for a low 11 and and no louder than standard one while driving normal.

Don't even need the dump pipe in that combo for an FG :) and intercooler is only needed if you want repeatable power. Cat/Injectors/Fuel Pump and an E85 tune for a mid 11 and a pretty awesome street car :spoton:

It's not much fun if you have an even remotely louder than normal car in Wait aWhile, I know a few people with modified V8's that have been pulled up a few times for inspections & given work orders.

I've been on a cruise with some of the young guys I used to work with & they all got pulled over for being late 20's with nice performance cars when I didn't.
