There's vids in @JETURBO tuning thread of what cars behave like on the street with that kind of power. I'm all for it. Fun daily in my opinion. Definitely wouldn't let ya nanna drive it but.

I reckon sub 400rwkw is an ideal power level for street, fun and not breaking too many things.

how do you propose to get the power down onto the road? what rear tyres would you be using? what's the widest that fits on rear of fg sedan? 285?

I'm with Aaron. You can never have to much power. Many will argue the fact that is worthless if you can't get out to the ground.  Like anything with big torque,  it's all about throttle modulation.

Nothing wrong with 160 km/h power skids.....

You will get it to hook up. And yes when it does it feels amazeballs.

I recon 27-30psi Gtx42 would be about ideal/ starting to get to much in a falcon.

Garretts really like 35-40 psi. That's where they're most efficient.  With very limited tuning, my 4202 is  seeing positive pressure at 2200rpm. I never wanted hp records, but built the car to be powerful, yet have good street manners and drivability.  That's where the 42 excels....

I've read a lot of the 400kw+ & 500kw+ forums & in my case seeing comments from a lot of people on the forums the sweet spot for me will be around 370kw on 98 & low to mid 400's on e85.

I chose those targets because I've seen plenty of members get into the 300's in their first molding session but give it a year or 2, get used to the power & want more.

Me, I intend to do two lots of major mods, followed by the reliability mods.

That means valve springs, oil.pump gears & probably the end plate. Depending on my luck maybe the harmonic balancer as the tuner has seen a few of those have issues.

Then it's intercooler, Process West fuel surge with pump, turbo back exhaust & GTX3576r (gen2's cores are out now) with two tunes for 98 & e85, I'm also thinking of going the growler intake, mainly because I want to keep excess noise from the front & unwanted attention yet still have half decent airflow.

I'll be having the turbo housing checked next service plus the manifold bolts checked & tightened if needed, plus the fuel pump checked, so I have an idea if I need to budget more for anything else needing replacement.

The only things I'm not sure of doing are better exhaust manifold & a better intake plenum, from what I understand they can help lower stresses on the engine etc. which for me is a good thing.

Yeah it is, already have a growler with big mouth from when they had the special on their site.

I forgot to add in timing chain & guides with the vavle springs.

The car us just under 99,000 so I might as well do them all in one hit & save on two lots of labour
