[THOMMO] Member 94 Member For: 8y 7m 8d Posted 18/11/16 11:39 PM Share Posted 18/11/16 11:39 PM Hello! Basically at the moment I'm planning my list of mods that I'll be piecing together over the next 12 months on my F6. Currently sitting on just 335rwkw and I'd like to make 450kw (600hp) minimum. Now I've seen peoples posts showing high 400kw power figures that have then equated to a high 9.xx or very low 10.xx 1/4 mile passes... Therefore is there actually any need to go higher than that? What benefits are people seeing from say 600kw? Do you once in a while get up it and hope you get some traction? Is the acceleration just phenomenal in comparison? Feedback and experiences please!

A car with a stock turbo will be quicker 90% of the time when sticking to the speed limit. Do you really want to wait until 4k rpm to go fast for a couple of seconds with black lines and smoke whilst trying not to get a speeding ticket? That's not a very nice street car. I don't think there is any "need" to have a street car with much more than 400rwkw but if it is being used for drag regularly then losing street manners could be acceptable.

Amusingly enough a the self confessed nanna driver FG F6 ute owner hahahaha Can't give any personal experience but you may already know Brad Frost/Frostyboy had a big power manual F6 (500+rwkw) and ended up hating it due to constant traction loss (sold and bought a GTR, Racewars entrant). An auto would be better to live with at that power level I guess? Would still require constant feathering of throttle though, just easier to change gears without always busting into a55h0le puckering wheelspin when over 100kmh Was told a story once about getting the back end way out when saying hello to an HSV, quite a handful and detracted from the experience. I recon 27-30psi Gtx42 would be about ideal/ starting to get to much in a falcon.
