Cops wont give him any info on the scum.. unfortunately its law to look after there safety and private information.

Infact id say the cops havent even caught them and probs wont bother tryi g to either.

Deadshights get away with it all to often. They wouldnt be missed if beaten to death and dropped in a river

I'm not a lawyer but between foi, a civil suit against the thieves and representing yourself, you will get every single detail/evidence about the other party that the government/police has.

They reckon they took them into custody the night they got the car. Not sure man, the box is pretty sad, shifting pretty hard. No idea about the engine. Car doesn't feel that happy to be honest. I've told them I want it going to MT for the mechanical repairs quote. Lord knows they'll use their own people who don't care about the car other wise. And they'll put a cheap quote, leave things that aren't super important, just to be cheaper for the insurance company and so that they can get the work. Sent them extensive emails with pictures, explaining everything. But anyways. I'll keep everyone updated

Hard shifts could just be the box having adjusted it's shift profile to suit the driving style. Not comforting as it may give away how it was driven but don't condemn it just yet.

yeah I was hoping their brains would be splattered on the windows from slamming into a pole at 150km/h+

but they could have taken an innocent persons life if they had a serious crash so it's probably good they didn't.

We'll soon see what they think of the car. No doubt Rob at MT will say it's probably not worth the fix. And no doubt their people will say 'yeah we can fix the car up for a few grand'.... Which is not at all what I want. Refuse to have a cheap ass job done on the car.  Ah well, we'll see how it all pans out.

Any mods on the car?

Am tipping that to fix it properly it won't be worth the it to the insurance company to pay.

If they can fix it properly then hell yeah - will also give you a decent warranty on the work done.

If not likely - get any mods off the car and scrounge up stock parts to swap with while it's at MT's

Fingers crossed insurance play ball - if they do then you should get back the car in at least as good a nick as it was when the scum took it - plus have the added bonus of being able to complain about stuff that goes wrong later (you don't get that with any other 2nd hand car)

Make sure the mechanic/bodyshop/MT's note that the car is running rough, changing rough etc - probably nothing wrong, but if insurance fix everything then you have a leg to stand on if something dies in the next 12 months - better than any of us have ;)
