hi. question about the actual fuel pump module..is there any valves or anything that can stuff up on them beside the pump and hoses? [or is it just a plastic module?

reason I ask is. I got a fairly cheap fuel pump and module awhile back for a ba xr6t sedan and installed it. car ran betterbthen ever. however lately its had a very long crank like its lost fuel pressure but only does its randomly like 70% of the time. so fuel pump is the last thing it could be.

so yeah ordered  a new pump but have to install it in module. and wanted to find out if the moduel has any sort of valve that could I <3 Bananas up in it.

thanks. decided to pull out the oump and module and re install the original and seems to start first kick now..will know tommorow.

what I did find was the pipe going from pump to top of module was a very lose fit and I just pulled pipe off with ease so im guessing its jut a bad fitting pipe causeing pressure drop as if I remeber these pipes are  a one use only and your supposed to cut them off if u need to replace?

. either way I have a new pump comming with new hose. simple fix if its just this

thanks

Yep, a loose fitting would cause a pressure drop. It's a good idea to replace the hose each time you replace the pump (just once, normally).
