Hi Guys, Im a newbie on here originally from Scotland. Got hooked on the turbo Fords right after I moved over here. Love them.

Was looking for some help/advice on a wobble im having on my BA F6 manual. Its when you pull out of a junction from a standing start in first gear, just softly pull away and there is what I would describe as a wobble or shimmy from the rear of the car. Only for a second then its gone! Strange I know.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have checked all the usual suspects ie diff bushes centre bearing uni joint...

Thanks in advance

Stuart

Rear suspension bushes.  Wheel nuts. Air in tyres.  Grandmothers shoe size.

Hard to diagnose over the internet

Jack it up and move components around.

If all fails, take off in second

Yeah I totally understand, checked the rear end with a fine tooth combe,, all looks good, its a strange little wobble only in first for a split second...

Its got new cv shafts, new diff bushes, new centre bearing and uni balanced tailshaft. only strange thing I noticed was the centre bearing has home made spacers between it and the floor. Does this sound correct? The tailshaft looks straight exiting the gearbox though.

Worn control blade front bushes with give a shimmy/dog with worms feel to the read end under power. Not usually contained to one gear though.

Where are you located?

Yep. Rear suspension components.

Although mine wobbles in first second and third.  It's called loosing traction
