I believe the cable only - if you can get Blau to sell it to you is under $200 ..... I tried buying just the cable at one point just beucase it's easier than making stuff and was pretty much told to get stuffed.

Ok guys did my homework yesterday and asked my friend for the signal convertor and the Ba interface loom and he told $180 for the kit....and then it plugs straight in.

Now the ME1 also comes with an adaptor for the home TV or Amp which plugs in. l tried it yesterday on the home TV...and wow what a beautiful thing...it plays all regions even copied DVDs..CDs...MP3s..and VCDs. l also tried Region 1 Dvds but for some reason it only played some... go figure...it also played Region 2..3....4...5...

l hope this anwsers all you question and queries..

So, do you know if Blau will sell you this kit on its own? If so then you're saying you could get your dvd player running on the front icc screen for around $630? total or have I missed something? Can your mate get these kits and will he sell them+dvd player for $630? Cheers

I always thought that the Bluadpunkt units were a stealth install , and that ya play ya DVD thru ya normal cd slot?? how do ya do that if ya using that huge ME-1 unit??

Mines under the seat. that's stealth enough for me.

Hi Guys,

You will still need a IVSC55XX plus the BA interface lead for any of the mentioned DVD players to work through the ICC.

BlownBA, you have been quoted for only thhe BA interface lead - you will still need the IVSC55XX. (will not work without it!)

Cheers

turbocorty... You can get away witht he smaller (although I don't think available in Australia) IVSC-1102 or IVSC-3302 as they're functionally identical with fewer ports aren't they?

Thanks for clearing it up - I'd hate to see someone go down this path and then have to come after Blown BA's mate for a refund...

A.

hi aaronmihe,

You are right the IVSC-1102 will be compatible but is not available yet. When this product is released it will reduce the price of the kit further.

The current RRP has now dropped to $1199 for DVD playback (uses DVD ME2) and includes an automatic switching system than triggers the icc only when there is video signal present. In other words - screen switches to DVD when you push the power button on the player.

Off the topic..

I have a portable DVD CD MP3 player. One of the Digitron units. Before anyone goes the 'they're sh*t' course, I got it to be portable and take in the 4WD and camping so my wife and I can watch blue movies while in the camper trailer, and it runs on battery, 12 and 240 volt.

It works with the Premium Audio for sound thru the aux sound input. Can anyone tell me if it would work to output a video signal to the front screen as well? It has svideo and video/coaxial ports on the side. The jacks look like the small headphone size units.

So, what cables would I need to make this interface to the front screen and sound?

Also, hooking in this way to the front screen, using the cables mentioned, does the screen go blank at speeds of over 10km/h or so, as the usual DVD player is supposed to by law?
