Hi, I'm a new member from Hobart. Have just bought a BA 1, the car was an automatic but has been swapped fora 5sp. It has a twin 2.5 in cat back, cold air intake, bigger intercooler, turbo smart intake pipe and bov, CAPA flash tuner  (98 octane ), 10psi,I ran the car on a local dyno and got 304rwkw @ 6000rpm. I don't know how accurate it was but it's a starting point. Would like to replace valve springs, injectors and pump, plenum and a larger intercooler and piping and a tune - not using the CAPA

Who would you recommend for the tune in Hobart?

Where to purchase the parts?

Can fit the parts myself, not the valve springs, will need these fitted, possibly by the tuner, thanks for the help,

Ben

come on the tassie cruise :spoton::Welcome2FordXR6t: -> http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/92402-tassie-cruise-2016-nov-17-21/

Tough to recommend tuners in Tassie... none have really made a name for themselves... but have a read through this section to see if anybody has recommended a tuner -> http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/forum/175-tasmania/

I reckon find a 6spd and go from there.

of course it depends on how often you intend to use the cars power, the 5spd might last a while. but I'd still recommend beginning with upgrading to a 6spd manual.

you don't have to go new, but I'd advise getting a decent clutch.

They're thin on the ground down there. I only seen 2 BA xr6t while I was there last week. A sedan in sandy bay and a ute at island tyres in Hobart.

Keep us posted with who you use. Be interesting to know who's tuning down there.
