Old man built them 20 years ago. Built the pit first then built the whole shed around it.

You won't have much luck (legally) installing a Pit these days. They are basically banned in residential situations.

Pits are the pits.  Hoist for the win. 

 

Hard to get the wheels off in a pit.

Rolling dollys along the side of the pit sort the wheel off the ground issue... Climbing in the door of your cars abit hard when your on a hoist.

Take the airbox and intake pipe off to where it joins the pipe over the engine (FG), once airbox is removed the oil filter is right there and you can reach the sump plug by reaching down the side of the engine and over the K-frame. 15mm spanner = happy days, job done, no rolling on the floor for me ??

 

that's how I dump the oil on my clevo. Pan just fits under the car. The jack won't and I sure as hell won't either.

Hoist everyday 

 

go and get a k&n oil filter, they have the 1 inch nut on top and makes changing it a breeze
