Probably a bit of a beat up/click bait, but it's a bit scary to think that we're actually headed that way.

We're on borrowed time guys - looks like Mad Max come true, but it won't be leather clad bikers we fight for petrol - it'll be latte sipping greenies we need to go up against.

Am sure it wouldn't have been even floated in the German parliament unless Porsche, Audi, Mercedes, Volkswagen etc didn't have plans to be up and running to supply Europe with the way forward.

Maybe it's not such a bad thing though?

If they were reasonably priced, sure...but they're not, and they're nowhere near as practical as IC yet.

They'll be like CRT => LCD/Plasma/LED TV's etc in the long run

They won't be affordable until the market, supply, demand, experience and miles are on the board.

Going to be a whole new market that we get forced into - short term will suck

True that. I'd buy a gtr before a tesla.

Click bait 100%.

The world revolves on the internal combustion engine.

The Earth spins because it formed in the accretion disk of a cloud of hydrogen that collapsed down from mutual gravity and needed to conserve its angular momentum. It continues to spin because of inertia.
