hi. if I was to get some threaded bar m10 1.5. and cut it could I use it as studs? as I want to change the turbo to manifold studs as one has broxken and also change all the exhaust manifold to studs

so can I do ot by cutting  some threaded bar ? or is the blank bit on the studs there for a reason?

also would hi tensile threaded bar do or is there a special type...if so whats it called?

hmm I have sonic ones on it now but they came loose and I broke one so was gonna replace all.

is a stud basically a thredded bar..?.however is the blank part there for a reason like does it help with tensioning it?

I think the blank part is there because cutting a thread isn't free and when millions are sold that little bit of time will add up.

It's not needed to be threaded so why thread it?

True but that has no bearing on making your own studs.

Put simply you can just cut some high tensile threaded bar and use that.

Not everything has to be brand name, especially such a simple part.
