I'm more paranoid about the zf than the motor. It has an external air to oil cooler with the exchanger deleted and it mirrors the coolant temp sometimes a couple degrees under. When it's cold I love nothing more than a quick 'heater warmer'. I don't do it to a stone cold engine however and nor do I get into high RPM. any excuse to put the boot in I guess!
