Less chance of detonation but you wouldn't really notice it.

Gap the 6's to .7 and happy days. Cheap as fark to replace.

The reason you gap them smaller is so the boost doesn't blow the spark out. If it's tuned right .7 should be more than sufficient. Any less than .6 and you've got issues.

So I would be better off using the bkr7e? Might just get them since that's what my tuner recommended will probs go back up for an e85 tune in a couple months. Is there any downsides other than fuel economy and e85 going off quicker? And would it be worth doing valve springs if I go to e85 in case the stock ones float?

Trust joe mate. He knows his sh*t inside out.

If tuned right e85 should not be much worse than 98. It doesn't go off unless left to vent to atmosphere. If you daily the ute just make sure your journeys allow the car to get up to temp to burn off any moisture from the fuel. Run full sun oil and change it every 5000km.

If it's a weekender I'd be changing oil more often but that's just me.

Is there many united servos in Canberra?

Definitely do valve springs. E85 is magic motion potion and you'll be surprised at the gains from switching fuels.

It's only a weekender at the moment. There's two in Canberra one is only 5 minutes away so that's not a problem. Why do you say do the oil more often being a weekender. Yer I got quoted roughly $1500 to do valve springs and an e85 tune so hopefully have a couple good weeks on the punt haha.
And baxrtute it's at 130000

The oil will degrade quicker with the moisture in it if you don't drive it more. Could be a new wives tale but from my research into it you want to warm it up on a regular basis to remove the moisture.

$1500 is reasonable imo. You won't go back to 98 after e85.

Best to do the springs then... 80 id say youll be right for another 20ish thou.

U mite hit 380 maybe! though that CAI plus norm throttle body is killing 30ish rw already.

Do those mods with springs and e85 tune and 420ish be 3k instead of $1500 but will help the engine and turbo plenty

Just the 4 inch intake would free up some wasps wouldn't it?

I'd get ya fab skillz out and make one of them up before going e85 also.
