Oil brands

Someone might shoot me for this but I am loyal to no oil brand, I am all about whether the product meets the required specifications.

 

Definitely run fully synthetic oil because the turbocharger heats the oil up and synthetic oil copes with this better.

 

If you want a really good oil, get penrite fully synthetic which is labelled '10 tenths 100% pao ester' . I used the standard 'fully synthetic' cause it came in a 6L bottle (instead of 5L) for $10 less. Regular oil changes is what prevents me from spending more money for the 'better stuff'.

I ran diesel oil for a while,

 

full syn 

 

all the zinc and molybdenum you can get

 

destroys cats but I don't care cause I smash em all the time anyway

Also can wear off the coatings on your bearings & valve stems ... But it cleans up engine sludge well for a while :)

That's why I only ran it through once.

 

Clean everything and then I've been using nulon 5w 40, 5w30, 10w 40 and ten tenths racing 10w40
