Gidday, Jack here, I've recently become the owner of a beautiful 2011 FG Turbo ute, bog standard (and it will stay that way) but the fuel consumption is not great, 15+km/l in a small town, and I'm driving it like a nana, I'm thinking O2 sensor might need a replacing, but that leaves a question, how many sensors are there? I've got conflicting info, some say 1 others say 2, can anyone give me a definitive answer?  Are there 1 or 2 sensors?

Cheers

There are two oxygen sensors in the FG's. One upstream of the Catalytic Convertor (cat) and one downstream of the cat. Only the upstream one matters for air fuel ratio calculations. The downstream one is used to assist with tailpipe emissions (essentially tells you how effective your cat is and tells the computer to compensate if necessary parameters are met)

Just replace the first one. I'm not sure on part numbers. Ask your local ford dealer if you're interested.
