There's a stretch of 20km or so along the B82 just before Gladstone that's gravel... I was too far along from Bridport to turn around. Heading back through Gladstone but taking the "continuation" of the B82 on through Pioneer onto the turn onto the A3. Then it's fairly straight but still fun up to Scottsdale. As you get out of Scottsdale I think it turns into a Targa Tasmania stage, judging by the setup and quality of the road, but as you can see on the map, it's an awesome drive

Finished polishing the car at about 9:50pm and I'm now veg'ing before sleeping as I'm exhausted. See you guys in the morning!

 

I think I've fanged it along that section from Scottsdale to Launceston. We left Launceston and headed out to Lilydale and Pipers river then onto Bridport. Came back through Scottsdale. 

Very fun drive.

I'm parked in the car park at the waterfront cafe. It's not even open haha, I'm the only one in the car park.

 

ROB83R, I didn't end up stopping until Launceston... It was too early when I went past Bridport.

Stupid closed cafe... Had to find one... Best coffee in Devonport, supposedly... Too bad I don't drink coffee.

I don't need coffee, I don't like beer (or any other alcohol - I think it's ethanol that my body rejects) and my F6 would get driven every weekend if it were registered. Two unencumbered cars is fine

Took a pic of the polish job before leaving Devonport this morning and also before the car got filthy again  

 

Made our way to Strahan through the cradle mountain region. Used a full tank of fuel in the process on some fantastic pieces of road  

 

Solid day of u-turns, CB banter, boost, acceleration, braking and twisty mountain roads

Wish I was along right now, instead of doing the same roads in an asthmatic SV6 wagon a year ago :/
