I have and had samsung's with brilliant results everytime our oldest TV is a series 4 Plasma Samsung and the picture and Audio Quality is FAR superior to anything we've had since and still holds it's spot in the 2nd living room had a quick look at Kogan and it's all online so I can't actually see one but they're cheap

Am the same - TV, phone, monitors and other stuff all Samsung. For a kids bedroom TV though - $600 for a 32" Samsung I couldn't justify - thus the Soniq (or whatever store special brand)

Hasn't missed a beat in 3?? years Usually just uses a wireless mouse/keyboard from the bed to watch youtube etc with the TV acting as a monitor for the lappy. Or the chromecast to stream them from his phone if the lappy's not hooked up. One of his mates drops in with whatever shows on the usb stick and it's just plug in and watch. (I think it's a Soniq - whatever brand JB had as their "Special Buy Store Brand" at the time - all much of a muchness) I like JB so got their one. Personally I just use a 27" monitor on the bedside table hooked into the lappy as my bedroom TV - streaming and Foxtel GO and I find it perfect. I am contemplating getting the 6 bay version for home.
