While I know this is high kms it was a good price which I couldn't resist. I have a few questions regarding the naintainenece etc.1. I'm going to do a full service of the car soon (oils, fluids, filters etc) so what would be recommended on a turbo of this age? The gearbox is a bit sticky so I'm going to do a service on that.2. How can I check the health of the engine? I don't want to give it a bootfull until I know how healthy it is.3. Is it true that the bf mk2.5 engine has similar internals to the typhoon engine? If so what parts?4. The gearbox is making a roll over noise (apparently common on these gearboxes) should I be worried or is this normal?Any more tips just let us knowThanks! Change all the fluids and filters. Fuel filter is on the left chassis rail under the back seat/rear door area. The bolts are a c u next Tuesday to get out. There's threads here on it. The rest are easy. I use nulon full syn 10w40 and a ryco filter z516 is the one you want. I've got a k&n panel filter. I highly recommend getting an aftermarket oil feed line for your turbo if it hasn't been done yet. Here's why Plenty of kits floating about. I just picked one up for $110. After you've done all that if you're still unsure take it to your local tuner and get them to check it out for you. Where are you located?
