urgent help,buy xr6 Sprint ? need all xr6 sprint owner help me decide

hi I current own an fg xt6 turbo 320 rkw, have done the whole package, now it has 100 k on clock, engine is great con, but the zf tran start bit shift rough, rebuilt would cost me 10 gran, brake still.standards, need some new rotors. overall con is ok, I can keep it fot another 3 year no  problem, or upgrade, this is the last falcon I be buying.

 

 

ok and there is an xr6 sprint currently order buy a dealer friend, he ask me if I want it, must be quick.got 7 day to decide.

 

 

my question is, is it worth the upgrade? xr6 sprint basicly just an factory tuned f6 .

 

 

things I like about my fg xr6 turbo

 

1 the look, xr6 sprint is ugly, the front

2 already custom tuned , got 320rkw at the wheel.

3 I put sunroof stereo all that mod cost me,about 30 gran mod, if I get the sprint, must do it again.

 

 

ok with sprint, things I.m looking to light mod, of course I don't care about resell value, the thing I want do

 

1 a custom tune? has anyone tune a sprint before? I mean is it going to make it better than factory? the sprint already got good parts, just need a tune? definite remove the 230km speed limiter. also think of mod the cat convertor empty it and fit a bov, I got 320rkw for my xr6 turbo, sprint has the bigger turbo should be the same? is it going to be bit laggy?

 

2 diff mount, definite going to do the diff mount, the falcon mount surely will break that,s for sure. the brake 6 pot brembo, I current use the pbr 2 pot, how much expensive the brembo will be? pad and rotor vs the pbr?

 

3 stereo sunroof, yea going get rid of that ugly stickers. does any anyone know,does the xr6 sprint got usb option play music? cause the fg only can play cd, sucks.

 

 

can any of you guys who own or drive the sprint give me some advice is it worth the upgrade?

 

I.m waiting, need be fast, I got 7 days to decide buy or not.

 

this is my last falcon, money is not the issue, but doing the mod sh*t could be bit time consuming, so is it worth it?

Keep the car you have and throw a few bucks at the brakes.  To fix the trans won't cost 10k

does the xr6 sprint have good resale value? this will be the last falcon I be buy, waiting for the 2020 gtr sedan to come out, still 3 years away, maybe just keep the fg for another 3 years? the sprint seriously don.t look as good as the fg. I brought ba bf fg 3 falcon now, might as well get the sprint, farewell to my falcon lol

I'd get something other than a falcon if buying a new car.

 

either way it'll be cheaper to repair the car you've got.

 

what I'd do in your situation

$4-6500 for zf rebuild depending what parts you choose

$2-5000 for suspension and bushings (at 100k some/most of em will be soft,etc)

$5000 or so (maybe less!) on some english lessons so you can make sense to people

a few grand on some 6 pot brembos front n 4pot/whatever rear including independent motorsports twin diff bush diff hat.

If you don't like the look of a car I would not buy it, even if it's the last Falcon.  It won't be much of an investment anyway, be better off in solid stocks or something I'd imagine...

buy sprnit reverse engeneer it buy putting fg front bar on and swap rears too that way your going to have the look of the fg but the power anf deel of the sprnit. 2020 gtr sedan does nt exist nor will ir ever. all must angs now. so unlees your after a cobrah your not going to find another ford sedan that will be as nesquik (sorry auto correct lol) made in au again. the sprnits arnet that ugly through they just take a while to get used too and look better in reel life then in photos. but hey if literacey skills were important for owning fords youd be sheet out of luck bro
