unfortunately had my mechanic check over my ute as it wasnt boosting properly, and dfound cylinder 6 60psi more than any other and water had gone right up thru to the coilpacks and corroed them it was that bad, im really tight on funds, would the best bet be to just throw a low km wrecker engine in it or upgrade or what?, current motor will be scrapped

They are. You just can't lean on them as hard.

You could go a reliable 300rwkw if the tune is right. What box have you got? That's the next weakest link.

Go have a chat to Joe CMS and see what he reckons.

Fg short motor is probably the cheapest option.

Theres a few wreckers around Sydney that have them. There's a ba turbo motor on gumtree now for $2300 but you're just going to be back at square one again.

At least you have the good box.

ahhh gumtree is full of dreamers.

it's funnier when they say something has a problem and ask for top dollar anyway!

theres a wrecker here whose been trying to sell BA turbo engines for $2000 for AGES.
