hey guys

got a bf f6 , currently makes around 380kw iv got the xforce 4 dump and cat and so on with the twin 2.5'' catback system with the 2 mufflers

im going back for retune and just wondering if I should upgrade to the single 3.5'' before hand as I think last time I had it tuned the tuner said the exhaust was restricting it abit

anyone that can point me in the right direction that would be great

cheers guys

Twin 2.5 is similar to single 3.5.  Twin 2.5 is good for over 400. But if you are cashed up go single 4 inch.

Even though cross sectional area is similar I find better performance out of big singles vs twin systems for big power goals

The only and I mean only exhaust that's ever droned on me in a XR6T was a 4* X-Force stainless system on a ute after we removed the central muffler and it was more obnoxious drony vs outright V8 Drone style so it was still ok lol

Surface area of the 2 pipes is far greater than on a single (as far as the flowing gasses go)

Far more exhaust gas is "rubbing" against the exhaust pipes in a twin system

You get far more "blue" in a single system and far more "red" or "green"  in a twin
