Sounds like you've got the tog 4" system. It's a copy if the nizpro system.

I'm not sure if the tog system comes with the trans bracket but you might need one. The twin cats are pretty wide and can bump against the chassis rail when cornering as the engine mounts flex a bit. The bracket bolts to the trans mount and hooks and exhaust hanger across just behind the cat to stop it swinging.

If the hybrid has opposite end outlets, what piping are you looking to run? Looking at the Hybrid units if it is the smaller unit that sits behind the crash bar, Its going to be good for one or two power runs before it starts building up heat. Similar to factory units

Read up on here, best advise is figure out the power level you want and buy all your bits once. I wouldn't be looking at the engine as you have a 4 speed, I would be budgeting a rebuild on that before anything else.

Its all good finding bits here and there on gumtree and Ebay, but if this is your first ford and not much experience it can end up being more expensive or take more time to factor in all the little bits you need to modify to suit

Oh yeah forgot about the BTR gearbox.  Never owned a 4 speed.  Not much point having 300kw+ at the engine if it won't put it to the wheels!

Cars eh.  $$$

Reminds me of the saying "Cheap, fast, reliable.  Pick two."

An what coin would I be looking at for a rebuild.. dont want huge power??just something so when I pull up at the lights next to a hsv v8, I can say catch ya later. Worth getn a six speed manual conversion maybe?? I think the exuast is a tog had a look on net an they are on  ebay! Hybrid cooler is the really big one too.

I would be setting aside somewhere in the $2500. Manual conversion could be done, wouldn't be a bad improvement over say over "beefing up" a BTR rebuild.

Have you got the piping to install it all?

I will be watching this thread with Interest:popcorn2:

This was me two years ago. Only difference was I had a MK2 with a T56.

All I will add is you may know how to swing a spanner or two but theres alot more to it than that with these cars.

Read read read and read some more...

Alot of lad's on here who have done it all before. The hard way and the correct way.

Either way enjoy the XR6T modding journey.

And welcome to the madhouse.

If u stay under 300rkw the stock BTR will be fine for a while.

Atm my btr is taking 300rkw with 1100nm pretty well, only a little slip 2-3 when cold but fine when warm.

Im putting a tr6060 in it soon though.

Is the car a daily?

If u want to build the auto? Id suggest buying a second hand one and getting it built why u keep driving around.

U can send it to anyone u choose to, in WA or interstate.

After doing my research a few months ago, it seems to be around 3-4k and 2wks to do  btr build.

U mite be better off looking into  6sp man conversation?

But  u have a budget yes? A goal of some kind?

The issue with a BTR is that even a "built" unit comes with a level of risk. Again longevity comes down to how the tune is applied.

I would as stated above, budget for a manual conversion
